I had posted a job, received a call "unknown" introducing that the gentalman was from Handy Canadian site contractor. (May be some one should NOT be here)
Started conversation and asking me Questions about the project which is fine. Then asking me WHY i am doing only foundation with one contractor and dont hire for entire work with one company? Then i Asked what was his expertise? Are you liscenced in what trade? etc..... then
After some conversation all of a sudden the contractor at other end started shouting, using ' F" language etc. in the very first conversation! I just said thanks for your compliments and the other end hung up!
If that contractor is reading on this forum and has got some decency should call with caller ID, and should NOT bring disgrace to this web site other members as its shamefull and brings a BAD name to entire contractors community, such people donot belong here go to FREE listings web site like Crai* Li** or Kij***i .
I am also a general contractor myself doing all interior works and always have work ethics, talk to customers in a professional manner and build relationship, create friendly atmosphere, make them confortable. My fellow friend you will not be successful with this kind of approach.
Too bad you didn't get his name. Unfortunately, there are people that think this is the way to treat people.
In reading this, maybe the person has been stung by other contractors and just needed to vent to someone. Good thing there is more work tomorrow and the sun will shine!
You are right Nick. It is too bad that people are like that. As a contractor, we promote (actually demand) excellent customer service and interaction. If I get the slightest complaint from a client, (fortunately we don't get them often) I deal with it swiftly. Having said that, I also don't allow me or my guys to be bullied from a client either. Nobody gets paid enough to be treated like that.

Well, except a prison guard at the local lock up... or a cop, I hear some pretty abusive language outside the pubs...
