Layed it once for a friend, but took no notice then as to length of time it took.
What I'm wondering is what per square foot cost I should quote for labor to install it? Or really, how long per square foot to lay it?
Any help would be appreciated.
I would estimate the total square footage and charge $.50 to $1sq ft..So for a 1000 sq ft basement you make $500.00 to $1000..if you want to make more for the day its up to you?
We do this installation for $1 per sf. If the floors are really bad it may be a bit more. Don't forget the cost of shims since they will be needed. The installation does take time and there is a bit more than average in waste, once the panels get cut its very rare you can reuse them elsewhere.
That was about my guess.
Thanks!
Ken,
A dollar per sq. ft. is reasonable. Remember that if the room isn't square and there are partician walls, cutting will be required. As you probably know, this will take some time. If there is a great deal of estomated cutting, I'd add $0.15 per sq.ft. to cover the added time required.
Good luck.
Mark
