Just curious what's a great price, either per square foot or per bundle in Ontario for roofing sub-contractors?

Charles,

Provinces may vary but should be reasonably close. It depends on the pitch, condition of the roof sheathing, removal of existing shingles, vents, and a few other items. Basically you should expect to pay about twice the cost of a bundle of shingles. Ball park, a 2000 sq ft roof takes approx. 63 bundles. At $30/bundle shingles are $1827. and labour is about $3654 for a total of approx. $5500. That should include underlay (paper or tyvek roof) and drip edges. ($27,5/sq ft.

Hope this helps.

Hi Charles,

Prices vary across the country, for an installer i pay $18.00 - $20.00 per bundle for labour on a standard 3 tab shingle. This includes installing paper and drip edge. Installer supplies his own fasteners.

Best of luck,

Rick Gilley
