Bought new range the old range had a metal box and receptacle 36 long BX flex conduit coming up through floor and sitting under old range
New range has no room under so I cut drywall to see if surface mount was possible
The bathtub is on the other side
What is the proper install method and required distance
it sounds like the bathtub is on the other side of the wall, so it wouldn't matter as it is not accessible from the tub side. There is no distance required from a stove plug to a tub which is 240 volts, but 120 volt receptacles have rules, crazy eh? Actually the rule is for equipment plugged into that 120 volt outlet which most equipment has a 6' cord which is why we have a gfci rule in place.
