Hi,
Currently the back of my house is L shaped. I would like to extend it so that it is a complete "rectangle". The extension would be about 63 squared feet times two since it would effect the basement too. I'm in a bungalow.
This extension would allow my kitchen to be bigger and to allow for a table and chairs. Therefore the existing sink, counter, cabinets, window and backyard doors would Be affected.
Thank you for your feedback.

Hi,
Building the extension will run about 18,000 to 20,000.00 if you have good access to the back.
Being the kitchen, you will have to change out you cabinetry probably. This price can only be decided when you folks choose this as well as the flooring etc. The figure I gave you will just build the room. finish the walls trim, paint etc. We also have to consider the finish on your existing ceiling. If it is not smooth, you are looking at more money to deal with that.
Hopes this helps,

There are many things to consider. Will you require a Minor Variance added to your permit because you are adding to the house foot print and not only plumbing and electrical issues but tile around the new foundation. When all is finished your probably looking at between $40K and $60K.
Cost to build a home addition vary from $250 per square foot on the cheapest end to $450 / sq. ft. or even more for custom top notch work. Accurate estimated can be provided only after analyzing architectural drawings with all technical details, calculating number of man-hours for completing the project and determining the total expenses for materials, fixtures and finishing products.
