I am looking to build a shed 8 x 12. What are your thoughts on foundations? I am looking at pouring a pad. How thick should it be? What type a cement should I use? And how should I prep the area where it will be built before pouring a pad?

Thank you very much, guys.

Hi Steve,

For a garden shed, 4 inches of concrete on crushed stone for drainage is probably about right. Google is your friend on this one - try "concrete pad thickness for shed in Barrie Ontario"

Good Luck with it!
