Asbestos Removal

Bungalow built in 1961, 918 SqFt main floor and 796SqFt basement. Has not been tested yet but what would the cost be to remove asbestos?
If it is tested positive for asbestos does it mean there is asbestos everywhere in the house?
We are thinking of doing some renovation project and want to know what happens in the case of asbestos.
The house is in Calgary.
