I hope someone may answer my question. I have a unfinished basement and still needs about 75' of framing. I am curious to know the average labour rate or ball park rate per square foot. Also it would be nice if you could include average cost per square foot to hang drywall and mud and sand and prime.

Well, different contractors charge differently. We charge $100 labor fee per drywall (4x8), including hang drywall, mud, sand and prime.

You could be looking roughly 2.50 - 5.25 a sq ft and using 2x4's.

Hey Good morning,

The average cost for framing a basement is around 3$ a sq foot. A little extra if you need bulkheads and mechanical chases need to be done. The price for drywall would have to be conducted after a site meeting.
