Happy Easter, everyone.
Could I have a plumber review my DWV plan for my basement bathroom? The plan is to 2" wet vent the toilet and shower off the drain branch that will carry the bathroom sink and a laundry basin. I will use a 3x3x2x2 double wye for that junction. The distance of the toilet from the wet vent is less than 2 feet, and the shower is less than 3 feet away. I also have to plumb the floor drain on the bathroom group and protect the whole thing with a backflow valve. Down stream of this group is the existing main floor kitchen drain which will remain undisturbed. It is 1-1/2" but I believe modern code for below slab piping is 2".
Does anyone foresee any problems with this plan? Thanks.
James from Calgary
This's not correct by plumbing code.
Wei, would you care to elaborate? What exactly apparently does not meet code?
I'd like to make one last appeal to anyone that knows what they are talking about to provide feedback on my layout. To just say it does not meet code is a useless post. I am hoping to find out why it apparently does not meet code, how I can fix it, and if anyone has any concerns about overall performance of this system. Thanks.
