Basement escape window size

Hello,

How do I find out what size my basement window needs to be legally to use it as a living space. Also, I would like to know if it is legal for me to have a small two burner countertop stove in the basement. I also would like to know. If a normal door, to separate the furnace room is satisfactory. As the space will be used as a studio apartment, and the only thing that is enclosed is the bathroom, and the furnace room, but the kitchen area and living space and bedroom are all in the same space.

I need to know where do I find out this information for my municipality. I live in Mississauga.
