I have a situation where a telepost is pushing up on a floor beam at the inside corner of an L-shaped stair to the basement. This has caused the wall which is supported by the beam to penetrate the ceiling plane. I have owned the house for 30 years and this has just recently occurred and is getting worse. Started 2 years ago. I have no adjustment available between the top of the telepost and the underside of the floor beam.

What would the cost be to repair this?
