About ready to frame basement. Using 2x6 for R-20 batting. Little conflicted over code requirements under the sole plate should i just use 6 mil Polly, or use seal plate gasket. The gasket looks to be a better product. The boards are just normal not PTL.

I will be asking more questions. My son and I are about to start this.

We usually use 6ml Polly.

Use the poly. The idea is to keep the wood and concrete separate because the wood will draw moisture from the concrete and may cause rot, mould,or general damage. I would also recommend pressure treated lumber for the bottom plate, ... just a little better precaution and the cost is minimal.
