I finished my framing for my basement (previously unfinished) and am waiting to get it inspected after lockdown is done. The builder did a terrible job with the HVAC and plumbing, so in the bathroom space, I had to do some interesting framing to say the least to get around the pipes and current HVAC without losing 1-2' off the wall. Will this result in a failed inspection of the framing? Nothing is structural, I was still 16" OC everywhere.
No, you should be fine. Remember to add a piece of board above by the vent you framed out, at the wall side so you have something to screw the ceiling drywall to.
For future reference studs are supposed to be continuous from floor to ceiling (by Code). Your photo doesn't show the bottom - there should be either a pressure-treated bottom plate or 6 mil poly under between concrete and wood members below grade. I personally prefer either 19.2" or 24" centers for efficiency. Probably your inspector will pass the framing so long as it is reasonably solid. Usually there's only a final building inspection for a basement development + rough-in electrical and plumbing inspections.
I tried to go straight to the ceiling wherever I could, there is this spot and one other spot that I am concerned about. The Original builder really screwed me with all the rough ins and stuff. Bottom plates are treated
Sounds like you should be ok. One of many challenges in finishing a basement on a "newer" home. Good job on the framing!!
