My basement was flooded (dried now). I only want to know the estimate including the tearing.
Prior to any "tearing" out I assume you mean demolition, it is very important to have an asbestos audit (If built prior to 1990) and a mold assessment performed prior to a professional being able to provide an estimate. Thousands of building materials contained asbestos, it is not worth taking the risk of disturbing it.
I'm sorry the question is not very clear, tearing of what? Drywall? & if yes are we replacing the drywall and how many sq feet are we talking about? In order to provide you with a price I would need further information!
Call a local to come over. That's the easiest!
Hi Maria,
Information is not enough to provide any figures. The best way you can do is to try to call few of a local contractors in your area to come over and see the place for accurate assessment.
All the best.
Mike
Hi Maria,
There is no way anyone could provide relevant pricing over this forum.
Basement flooding can cause a number of problems that go beyond visually seeing that the area now looks dry.
There is a great deal that goes into assessing the damage caused by the water and really must be addressed for the safety of your home and its occupants.
I strongly suggest you start by contacting your home insurance provider as soon as possible to start the remediation. Once the damage has been halted and assessed, you can use their recommended contractor or get quotes and retain your own.
Sorry to hear about your flood.
Best of luck
