Basement separate entrance

Hi there,
I would like to change a basement window facing back yard to a door. I wonder first how much it costs? My house is 10 years old, basement separate entrance is fairly common in the neighbourhood. My next door neighbour has a separate entrance from the side his house. It is in Niagara on the Lake.

We need to know first how big is the window and how deep is the basement floor is from the ground level to be able to determine how much excavation is required.

There are many things to take into account. If you excavate approx. 6' by approx. 10'. retaining wall both sides, dry well drain or small roof over the entrance. You're probably looking at a minimum of about 12K.
