We would like to change our bathtub to a deeper tub. How much would this cost?

Most of the time you have to remove and replace the tile around the tub too

That will cost you around $3000 only for labour

We do not have to change the tiles.

Yes normally you would replace wall tile too. Put in new higher tub, if you price out wall tile it's not that bad, average cost for gutting 3400.00

Lynn, It all depends on the degree of difficulty in removal of the old tub and what is involved to install the new one ... with tiles, flooring, tub surround, plumbing, etc. Sorry, no quick answer.
