Asking on behalf of my mother. Her concrete front porch is in desperate need of repair. Looking for recommendations on how to proceed. The porch has a fruit cellar underneath that has not been used in many years. The fruit cellar has been bricked up from inside the basement. Would like to have a wooden porch built. Should concrete be repaired to maintain integrity of fruit cellar and then build a wooden porch over top? Should porch be removed, fruit cellar filled in and then build a wooden porch?
Thx
Hi Gerry,
Sorry to say but its not the best picture to be able to give advice. Perhaps some better photos of the problem areas would be more help. Being in London myself i could stop by and take a look, as resurfacing is an option IF conditions are appropriate for such a method. If so could save money, time and mess while adding value and curb appeal to your mothers the home.
