I had Roxul R14 in my basement before having 2" of spray foam applied directly to the poured basement walls and header area.

Can I reapply the Roxul R14 back into the new framing without causing a moisture problem between the spray foam and Roxul?

Hello there,

If you're getting the exterior walls foam sprayed it is not necessary using the Roxul bats on top!

Spray foam is more than enough.

Good luck!

You may put the Roxul back in if you wish to increase the r value buy do NOT put up a 6 mil vapour barrier or you will create a moisture problem.
