The gentleman who put up my cabinets made a huge mistake on the doors.
Please see attachment.
So being hysterical over this since Friday, my friends and I came up with the idea to move the handles where they should be and put some mosaics in from my back splash where the marks are going to be.
If this is possible, what products can we use to make sure that the mosaic will stick to the cabinet door.
Thank you.
Concetta
Hi
I do not recommend putting mosiac on there as it will likely fall off, or be a hazard.
You can move the handles and fill in holes with white wood filler and light sand.
Then repaint the drawers.
Best option would be to get the installers to rectify the situation.
Hope this helps.
Well if you didn't want the pulls in that location it would be up to installer to replace the drawer fronts with new fronts and put the pulls where you want them if it's the fault of the installer you did by a new cabinets and you should have new cabinets with no blemishes
Give the area you are covering a bit of a sanding to scuff it, this will produce a better bond, I use "PL premium construction adhesive" Very common product at any hardware store, it comes in a tube for use in a caulking gun, that makes it very easy to apply to the backs of your mosaic. It will be fully set in 24hrs, then it can be grouted if thats what you prefer. I did this one in my own place. Good luck, and great idea by the way.
Hey Concetta, I am so sorry to hear about this mistake. My professional opinion would be to have them re make the doors that were mid drilled and properly correct the issue.
