Cantilevered Sill Plate

Is there a cantilevered sill plate on all sides of the home beneath the vinyl siding?. We recently had an inspection and it revealed that on the left and rear sides of the home the sill plate extended beyond the foundation wall exposing lumber. This is a building code violation. The inspector did not have the opportunity to check the right side and stated that he would return at a later date. To date he has not returned.

In the meantime the builder did repair the left and rear sides but stated there was no sill plate on the right so no repair was necessary. Is this possible that no sill plate exists on one side only or are they just trying to get out of carrying out the repair?

Assistance appreciated.

Suggest you have them open it up and prove it.

Would be a first in my 40 plus years of experience.
