Changing kitchen island shape

I am wondering if it is possible, and how much it would cost, to reconfigure our kitchen island using the existing cabinets. We would like to keep the 2 door cabinets, add one extra pull out cabinet and keep space for our dishwasher but make the island into a rectangle(about 6ft. Long). Can we use our existing cabinets? Looking for ballpark estimate for labour? Or any thoughts or suggestions!

Thanks!

Unfortunately, this is not something we would do.

Hi Angela,

Yes this is very possible. It sounds simple as to what you would like to do , but then again unfortunately nothing is simple. First off you do require good access from under the floor to re-configure your plumbing. Your floor will have to be patched and plugged to match the existing. Shop around not everyone

could do this well.

Good luck.
