In summer time, in my furnace room the condensation hose clogs 2-3 times. I have to disconnect and blow it. Once it was so bad that I had to use air compressor to push the clog.

Please suggest and solution and what is the reason of this?

Thanks.

Hello Fahd,

The condensation pipe from furnace normally don't block in few years, yet it needs to be cleaned annually. How ever mostly blockage is caused by humidifier and/or air conditioner hose that mostly are connected at same drain pipe that furnace is connected.

To solve this issue, you can upsize the drain pipe; or separate humidifier and air conditioner drain form furnace drain.

Also, sometimes installer miss to add an open to air Tee at furnace drain. This will create negative pressure at drain pipe and doesn't allow the water to go down easily. I hope I answered your question.

Thanks Fardeen. Yes I think that the furnace and humidifier hoses are connected to one T.
