I am finishing my basement. My cold room size is 7 x 5 feet. It's ceiling is made of wood and from outside, the ceiling is open to sky. Please guide me how to insulate it to avoid mold problems.

Thanks,

Zia

Spray foam 2lb is the Easiest way. If your not A fan of chemicals use blue wood for strapping. Roxul R14 for Insulation and Tyvek as A Air barrier. Moisture barrier. Whatever you do no 6 mil vapour barrier should be use it will trap condensation creating a chance for mildew and mould. There's your walls done now the ceiling you can use any ridge foam insulation use spray foam can for any crevices cracks missed and Tyvek over it Then only use Blue board Drywall As well as mildew mould mud and Tape.
