Hello,
I currently have a gas fireplace that I would like to add a cultured stone veneer to. At the moment I just have drywall going up to the ceiling where we would like to have the veneer added. Our ceiling is 15 feet high and the width of the existing fireplace and hearth 6ft wide. I am just looking to get an idea of labour costs on a project like this. I plan on getting the stone myself as well as the mantle. Attached is a photo of a friend's fireplace which is what we are looking at trying to achieve.
Thanks

Hello, thank you for reaching out.
I believe that a mechanical stone would work best apposed to a mortared in stone. 1- the mechanical stone is lighter and wont require extra support in your subflooring. 2- cleaner lines and less mess in the construction process.
Hope this helps
Please feel free to contact me for a free estimate, I always prefer to speak directly to the homeowner because different processes will change the price.
