Dev. permit and other permits needed 1st (not inl. as these costs range by province here in alberta about $1500).. for excavations and proper foundation/pad (we use ici forms) to exisiting basement you will be looking @ approx. $90-$140,000 depending on variable of site and materials you want used.

Hello Julie,

You didn't mention anything about the roof which is an important parameter in evaluating the project, anyhow, I estimated a similar case last week, and the estimation varied between 67,000$ and 73,000$; this variance is due to lack of details, but roughly that's what you're expecting.

Hi Julie,

What your planning involves every aspect of construction; framing, concrete, insulation, HVAC, electrical, roofing, envelope, the works. Definitely the type of job for a professional contractor. If you were doing this work in Vancouver you would plan to spend $150,000 to $250,000. The variance would depend on what happens during the design phase.

Hi Julie,

We have priced similar projects and the cost does have some variances depending on finishes etc.

Our estimated cost to do this project would be between $58,000 - $70,000 which would include design/permit drawings, engineering costs and mid-level finishes.
