Cost for concrete flooring

I am purchasing a home and am thinking about finishing the main floor (800sq ft) in concrete. Just looking for a rough estimate to do it as well as any considerations that I may not thought of.

It would be roughly $4.00 per sq foot. I would recommend the basement though, because as the house shifts the concrete will begin to crack on the main floor.

Hi Leanne

Concrete is a wonderful thing and can be put just about any where. To put it on a main floor ( regular wood frame construction ) You will have to double up all your floor joist

so there 8" on center. A few more support posts in the basement may be required ( With good footings ) Insure you have rebar ( NOT

MESH ) placed in the concrete , Minimum 3 ".

This will probably run you a Minimum $25K
