Cost for deck expansion

We currently have a small deck in our backyard and would like to add an additional deck and fencing around the one area of our deck. Using wood for the railing how much would you estimate the cost and time for a project this large?

What type of material do you want the deck made of?

It depends on several variables:
-size
-type of wood material
-are permits required or not?
This scope is far too vague for anyone to tie a price to.

Hi,
I'm afraid no one can give you any idea with the lack of information.
Axcess to site. Length and width of new deck. Material for decking. Type of wood for railings. Style of railings. Height of existing deck. How close do you wish the new build to be to your property line.
The list goes on.
