It was brought to my attention that the boards on top of the jack posts that are supporting the floor joists are getting soft and the floor is beginning to sag in places. The house is a 1500 sq.ft bungalow with a crawlspace that is rather tight.. Before I call someone to get a quote, I was hoping to get a ballpark figure of how much this might cost and just what kind of contractor I should be looking for. Thank you!

Hi Lora
Maybe hiring a local contractor for a free estimate would be my suggestion since it sounds like quite a bit of work,aLso not sure how many joists would have to be replaced and what typr of floors would you like to repelce the old one with also. Thank you
the cost of this project really depend on the actual condition. cause the various issues may effect the cost. have the guy quote for you first. and post up some pictures of the area he thinks need to be replace or repair. and that way we can tell if the price is reasonable or not.
