We found some boxes of maple hardwood flooring when we moved. Its about an inch thick. We will sell it but don't know what a fair price is per box. Any suggestions?
Thank you
Hello Diane,
Depending on class/type/size, and in what conditions they are now you could probably get $1.50 - $2.50 per square foot.
I hope, planks are strait.
Usually if hardwood is 1" thick, it's probably for a gym floor. Standard hardwood is 3/4" thick. Just something to think about
Maple flooring depending on the width of the material can range from $5-$8 per square foot. Each box should say how much square footage is in it and from there you can decide whether you want to get rid of it quickly, by marking it down to $3 or $4 per foot or wait longer and get a better selling price. A place you could try to advertise your product is kijiji or craigslist. How much do you have ? Maybe I can find a buyer for you.
All thebest.

Hi Diana,
Usually the extra hwf are for doing repairs on the existing flooring in case of damaged boards, scratches, Etc. If I were you I would not sale them. Keep them elevated from the floor so they don't warp just in case one day you will need them. Usually in a box there are about 20 sf ea x maybe 1.50 sf = $ 30.00 not really worth it. And if you had to replace the boards you would never be able to match the existing hwf. Hope these Info works for you.
Thanks everyone for your replies. We sold the hardwood and the new owners are delighted.
