One should really see the room and the proposed wall area before estimating. I would suggest calling someone local to visit and give you details on what is involved.

I just built 2 partitions and I can tell you this, it all depends on where you live because the price of material. In Manitoba, It would cost you $21 per 10' sheet of 1/2" gypsum board. (You would want 6) one extra for just in case =$126 then you need 16 studs. That should be around $57 for lumber, $23 for pale of ready set ( mud) and tape $5 a roll. Now depends on who you hire. Guys charge $4-$8 per L/ft or depending on experience $30-$60 per hour per guy. So if you got 3 guys there, he could be charging you $180 an hour believe it or not. I charge $3 per L/ft for framing interior $2 L/ft for taping $2 L/ft for painting and for drywall I charge $20 per sheet instillation.
