You should be budgeting around $ 20 to $ 25 thousand. Do NOT go for the cheapest quote here. this is serious work.. disturbing your homes footings - City will be tough on inspections and engineering. We do this work and can tell you that its for pros only - no weekend warriors.

The ballpark price for this job would be $25000 including the permit drawings, General site preparation, Demolish-Excavation and removal of dirt up to appropriate depth for basement entrance, Cut and open foundation wall for one door, Install and finish new door and lintel for opening,Form and pour underpinning as per drawing, Layout, formwork & pour footings with rebar. Layout and install Concrete Block Foundation with rebar, Anchor new foundation with existing.

Layout, formwork & pour Stairs and, Parging and waterproofing exterior of the new block foundation, Install new weeping tile and connect it with existing, Back filling remaining dirt, Connecting exterior drain with internal storm drain, Guards and light fixture Installation.

Is not an easy job as most people think?
