Can't tell until its all open. Anywhere from few hundred if it's just a drain to 2-3k for full shower teardown and rebuild if waterproofing wasn't done properly.

Around $600 if it's a plumbing problem.

Not able to tell until it open, there will be two part of the job, first need fix the water leaking(plumbing), then need refinish the ceiling.

I would start off with cutting the drywall around the damaged area as the water has run along the joint of the ceiling drywall. As for how much damage and where the water is coming from can't be told until the ceiling has been opened.

Cost wise could be anywhere from $800-$3,500

Kind Regards
