I'm looking to replace 3 bathroom exhaust fans. What would the labour cost be?
Hi Derek if its to just unhook and re install all materials supplied 150.00.
Hey Derek, it's actually hard to give a fixed price on this item for a couple of reasons. But a good ballpark amount would be about $100 per unit. The reason these are difficult, is because the existing unit was installed before the ceiling was finished around it. This means the fasteners holding it in place are often not accessible, so you have to open more ceiling. As well, you need to make sure the replacements you buy are not only the same size as the ones you're removing, but also that the exhaust vent and the wiring are feeding from the same ends as well. I've done too many of these to count and I've never had one just drop out and then fit the new one in place easily. Hope this helps.
Hi Derek, a rough quote would be $100 to $200 per exhaust fan for labor only. There's many different price range for ceiling exhaust fans starting at approximately $30 up to $500 per unit. There is a possibility that whoever installed the exhaust fans never vented properly to the outside of your roof with a roof vent. You would be best to have a qualified Tradesman come in to investigate and give you a firm quote. Ceiling exhaust fans are never quick simple fix from my experience in 30 years in this business. Hope this helps you out
