Our main floor is about 1000 square feet, with all but the master bedroom (carpeted) being ceramic tile. What would it cost to replace the tile with hardwood, either by installing hardwood/engineered hardwood over the tile, or removing the tile first if necessary. Thanks.

Hello,

The tile must be removed before hardwood installation. You need to be able to secure the hardwood onto the subfloor. Depending on the flooring you pick, you are in the range of 11k to 13k. Hope this helps.

Good evening Wayne, thank you for your inquiry. Your estimate is to be lower than the contractor stated above, between $3000-5000. Materials are not included.

Sincerely,
