My wife and I are wanting to add a kitchen to our basement to make it a legal suite. We have the cabinets and appliances and I am able to do the labour of installing them as well. What I can't do myself is run plumbing and electrical. So my question is how much would it cost to run pluming and electrical for a BASIC kitchen?
The kitchen upstairs is (would be) directly above the new kitchen, in fact, we are using the cabinets/appliances that are currently upstairs for the new kitchen. I imagine since they are directly above/below each other it would make it a much easier job for a plumber/electrician.
Looking forward to your responses! Thank you!
P.S. - please ignore the blue ink in the images, my son was trying to help :)
In Edmonton you need to comply with some legal requirements before building a secondary suite check your local authorities before moving forward.
Cost for electrical is about $3.5/sqf material included.
Plumbing is about $65/hr plus materials.
