How much would I expect to pay for having the walls tiled around my bathtub. Using a 9x18 tile and the walls are prepped for the tiling already. Just need an idea for tile and grout install.

TO make sure of a fair price, the job needs to be visited. The preparation of the tiling surface may look good to the owner but may not be good enough for setting this size of tiles.

I think it require a job specific pricing.

To install and grout tiles $457. + tax. Customer to supply all materials.

For that size tile your walls need to be pretty flat and near perfect if there layed in a brick or staggered pattern. Otherwise the corners of the tiles will be raised. It will take one guy a full day if not a little more to lay the tile and another half day after they dry to grout and caulk the tiles. Depending on the labor rate and skill of the installer, you should be around $1000 if not more for 2 days work with you supplying the materials.

I would be wary of some of these answers! It takes one day to tile...half day to grout, but you can never silicone the same day of grouting...the shower will leak in every scenario...silicone will not stick unless grout is dry...450ish is a day rate for a qualified tradesman
