I am thinking about replacing an existing wooden deck with new, approximately 12'x17'. What would it cost to do this?

$18 to $30 a foot depending on the material used, railings required and height off ground.

You didn't mention if removal of the old deck was involved. That could add another $500 - $600 for removal and disposal. The rebuilding of the replacement deck would start depending on style and materials (PT , Cedar, or Composite) at $20 per sq/ft and could run to over $40.

Approximately $2500.00 for the new deck including materials + $600.00 for removal Including the dumpster bin.

Hello,

I would estimate around $4500 including demo and removal. Would be a lot less using pressure treated wood and basic finish. 4500 would get you composite and nice railings which enhance the house.

Standard PT decks usually run about $20/square foot installed. Railings, stairs, and elevations can raise the cost up to $35.

All other types of decks will be more.

A pressure treated decks costs approx. $20 sq/ft. Composite deck would cost approx. $30-$50 sq/ft. Plus if you need to demo the existing deck add $400-$600.

I would recommend to go with composite or PVC decking. Even though it might be a bit more pricey than PT Wood it is going to pay off in the long run.

The price for composite is going to start from $1850 (including the fasteners)

The price for PVC is going to start from $2550 (including the fasteners)

We are a supplier and These are the prices for the materials only.
