I am looking to build an addition for a family room on the back of my two story home in Hamilton. What is the cost difference between an on grade slab with foundation vs. a fully excavated poured foundation?

The size of my addition is to be 22' wide (the width of my house) and out 16'.

Thanks.

An on grade slab foundation I suspect you mean a piled and grade beamed with a slab on top the only parts your missing are the larger excavated area and the walls in place of the grade beam likely about 40% more.

I always like to suggest a walk out basement..something 4 feet wide and 12 feet long is a start. Gravel or concrete floor the water collected by the weeping tile right next to the wall. I have never had a problem.
