Door Equipment Installation on New Doors.

My contractor is stating that the installation of my door hardware onto my new doors is per industry standard and is refusing to remediate the finish of the brand new doors. the work looks unprofessional with jagged uneven cut hinges, bulging door latches and paint that is splotchy and overpainted. Is the quality of work normal in the industry or should I ask them to fix it?
