I would like to expand my driveway by about 5 feet to fit a second car. Currently driveway is about 10 ft x 50. The driveway is paved with asphalt. Initially i considered to expand the driveway with interlocking, but the estimate was out of my price range (about 6 k). Therefore I decided to expand it with asphalt. My question is, can I add the remaining 5 ft with asphalt, or a better way would be just to removed the remaining old driveway, and install a new one ? I found a contractor who would remove the old driveway (home is 4 years old) and install a new one (15 x 50ft) for about 2 - 2.5k. Is this a reasonable choice? Can you please advice me on a reasonable way to solve my problem.
Thank you
Ultimately, a "good" deal is defined by the satisfaction of BOTH parties!
Just be sure to put everything in writing! Do not do a cash deal.
This amount seems reasonable for the entire driveway. PUT IT ALL ON PAPER...no cash deals.
Best of luck.....
