Electrical Work

Hi Diane

Electrical work and their related laws are different in each province. As an example, in Ontario, you must be an authorized electrical contractor (EC) or the homeowner (vice a couple of exceptions) to do any electrical work.

To be an authorized EC you must employ a Master Electrician. As a side note, you not necessarily legal to do electrical work just because you are a master electrician in Ontario. You must be a journeyman electrician. As in my case I am both a Master Electrician and an journeyman electrician.

Regardless, all electrical work must be inspected.

I just wanted to let you know that my husband and I too have been ripped by this company. I've seen your review and everyone else's that were unfortunate to do business with these guys. We wrote a review as well.

If you call or email the City of Edmonton an inspector will come out and look at the work for you.

We've reported this company and owner to several goverment agencies and are persuing legal action.

So sorry to hear you got ripped too -- among other things

I too have reported him to several gov agencies as well. I managed to have a real electrician come in and replace and run new wires. He stated that there were to many serious errors made for this person he had out there to be a master electrician. My home would of caught fire if I let him continue doing the work. Glad I smelled a scam and fired him before that happened. All work that was done had to be ripped down as well. My home is slowly coming to together. Once it is done I will be pursuing legal action as I now have some lawyer from florida calling me wanting payment for work done on my home. I googled the number and am not worried, but could not believe the oddasity to which this man will go. I was going to chalk it up to a lesson learned until that call. He has banks, suppliers, WCB, and all the people he ripped off all taking legal action. I wonder what he'd do if the trouble shooter from global tv showed up as well. She did call me back but I work away for a month at a time and could not find the time to follow thru. He has been embezzeling and commiting fraud with both of his companies(this one and Hide n Seek Inspections) as well; so its just a matter of time before revenue canada will be involved as well. I noticed he is also a contact for TRIC The Renovation and Inspection company listed on here as well.
