Hi,
We require a modification to our second floor bathroom which involves creating a
24" x 32 " opening in the floor. The location is along the exterior rim joist and access for the work can be made through the ceiling below as it is already taken down for electrical work. I say 32" opening because it will span two 16" oc floor joists.
Approximately how long will the job take and a rough price ?
Thank you.
Hi,A job like this would take a day and would be in the region of $1500 material and labor.
It would take around 1 week and the price would be roughly $3,500 - $7,000
Have a nice day.
Sorry, I think there has been a misunderstanding.
We requested a couple of headers and trimmers 24" in length and possibly one tail joist to create an opening in the floor.
As well removing one 2 x 6 exterior wall stud and using jack studs / header for additional support but not creating any wall opening except a 4" x 10" hole for venting the range hood.
Anyway, we have decided not to go forward with creating a floor opening and will find another way to look after our wall vent.
Thank you.
If it's just patching and you paint ceiling. 350.00
Two coats of 45 and final coat.
Sorry just thought it was a drywall patch.
