Hi there is a water leakage in my basement whenever there is heavy rains. The basement is unfinished. Can anyone tell me the estimated cost to repair the same?the leak is at three different places in the basement.
There are MANY potential causes & solutions. There may be hydrostatic pressure beneath the floor slab in which case Code requires a continuous 'Waterproofing' membrane envelope the floor slab, footings and foundation walls until you are above the point of hydrostatic pressure. If that's the problem there's no guaranteed solution if not done correctly - perhaps installing interior weeping tile & sump if not already present ($10K?). Perhaps grading, eaves trough, exterior dampproofing, crack in the wall, weeping tile issues ($15K)?
If this is an older home before municipalities had strict requirements regarding grading and you have some water collecting near the home that can't be solved by grading improvements you may be able to install an exterior sump with pump discharging to the alley or front street - one homeowner has this in the back yard in my neighborhood ($1,500).
The Building Code requires 2 coats of dampproofing as per the referenced CAN/CGSB standard but at least here in Edmonton that's never done.
This is usually expensive. Even the smallest repairs are more expensive than you expected. I need repairs soon. I want to make money for this at an online casino. Maybe I won't succeed. I want to stream twich online casino https://www.videoslotscasinogames.com/ and make money by referring advertisers.
Hello,
No one should give you an estimate by looking at pictures.
There could be a variety of possibilities as to where the water is coming from and this needs to be assessed on site.
I.e.:can it be fixed from the inside,? Does it require exterior waterproofing and crack interior repair.
Ate the the windows and exterior drainage a possible issue etc
Do not go by picture quotes.
Must be evaluated on site.
Regards
Paul
