Exterior foam board - re-siding a home

It's seems to be common practice to install foam board insulation when re-siding a home. I have had the same installation on mine but I am concerned about the issue of a double vapour barrier considering I also have plastic on the interior walls under the drywall. The product they installed on the outside is called Atlas Energy Shield 1" thick under Hardie Plank. I asked the installer about it and basically said I need not worry. This came up as I was in the process of installing 2" xps foam on my basement rim joists and got to thinking am I sandwiching the rim joist between 2 vapour barriers and will that cause an issue.

Have I set myself up for the exterior walls to rot and mold? Anything to do other than taking all the drywall down and removing the interior vapour barrier.

Thanks,

Greg

You're fine not getting into a essay on it other then to reassure u that it's not a double vapour barrier Vapour is supposed to be on the warm side but because of the climate the warm side varies from season to season. If you have concerns a HRV system is your mind comfort solution.
