I'm building a a two story extension with some minor renovations to existing. I have been quoted 12.50 per square foot (labour). From what I can find this seems unreasonably high.
I'm thinking this is high vs a good fair price (certainly not looking for the low bidder).
What do you consider a fair price?
This is Barrie, Ontario area.
This is going to depend if your contractor is taking on framing, insulating, drywall, roofing, siding, ect. Is the contractor suppling there own insurance, WCB, ect. If so then yes that is a far price. Hope this helps.
Pretty simple solution actually. Get more quotes. Pretty good place to start is tight here put the same specs in the "post your project" section so you can get more local contractors to look at your project.
Once you get a few more quotes you can make a decision about fair pricing.
Good luck with it.
