Finish Basement In a New Build

Hi there,

I am about to close on my new build and am considering getting the basement finished. Is there anything I should look out for or wait for before getting this done? I did not opt to have the builder finish due to the cost, but am i voiding the tarion warranty by doing so myself?

Any feedback or comments from the pros and previous owners in a similar position would be greatly appreciated.
