How do we install the registers for the heat flow on the floor and not on the side of the wall?
In the bathroom, an accident could occur and the water from the bath tub could flow into the floor register and damage all of the circuits and structures from first floor to the main floor to the basement.
At times a small part of the window drapes would hang very close to the floor registers (would it not cause a fire?). Due to the contact of the hot air onto the drapes?
Thanks
Floor registers are common in hundreds of thousands of homes, no fire can start on drapes unless there is a real house fire happening, furnace heat is not going to cause this.
If there is a flood from bathtub it will damage the house anyway and registers being there should not make any difference, a flood is a flood. Contact home owners insurance if this is a concern to you .
