Floor Reinforcement for Large Aquarium

Hello, I am planning on putting a 6' x 2' footprint aquarium (2500 lbs, being a bit generous) and cannot get a post directly in the middle front to back.

I will be using 4-ply, 4' long 2x8 glued and screwed beams.

Is it better to get the post closer to the middle of the tank and leave a cantilever or put the post in the middle of the beam, more towards the front of the tank?

The 6x6's in the photo are coming down and will be replaced with the laminated beams.
