I am looking at framing a wall in my basement, this wall is where the main floor beam is, it is below the floor joists, and there is a large plumbing line run along side of it. On one side is the planned family room, the other side of the beam is the closet of the bedroom. Need some advice? Can I build 2 walls on either side? I forgot to add the beam also has the support metal posts as well. So I am trying to figure out how thick the wall will have to be. As I have to run electrical through the wall and around the posts, in order for my vacuflo to have power.
