Rough opening for garage doors, and header placement. Does the header butt up again top plate and cripples go under once total height is determined? (Framing is on foundation and floors will be poured after roof sheathing is on, so determining exact height is tricky)

Concerning your header above your garage door opening it can be done first as long as you know the correct Ro for the garage door you are installing. Most times you have small cripplers on top of the header that go to the top plate and sometimes it goes tight to the top plate depending on the RO of your garage door and total height of your garage. I would confirm with your garage door installer of your exact R O then you have nothing to worry about. Hope this helps you. Jeff
